Our Subtraction Centers include two books that incorporate leveled Math
practice with hands-on subtraction activities and games for 1st-3rd grade
teachers and homeschool parents.

Subtraction Book 1 features six lessons that teach basic
subtraction facts to 18 in three levels. Each of the six lessons is followed by a ready-made game
to reinforce the concepts taught.
|
|
Subtraction Book 2 features six lessons that teach missing subtrahends, missing minuends,
balanced equations, and fact families in three levels. Again, each of the six lesson is
followed by a ready-made game to reinforce the concepts taught.
|
Offering three levels for each subtraction concept allows teachers to
differentiate instruction.
- Level 1 is for students who are new to the concept and need more
manipulative work. We've created counting pieces and subtraction mats to help students grasp new
concepts.
- Level 2 is a bit more difficult, with fewer manipulatives and more
subtraction problems.
- Level 3 adds more subtraction problems for the most capable students.

Each Subtraction book can be utilized as a Center or in a
Whole Group setting. Students complete three leveled subtraction practice pages
for each of the six basic subtraction skills, followed by a game to reinforce
each concept. |
